Job Title:FSP Business Operations Finance Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accounting Support Specialist to independently support internal and external stakeholders. This role involves providing financial accounting support for complex CFSP models and managing a small team of 1-2 people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key point of contact for customer counterparts.
  • Lead initiatives and workstreams to investigate and implement process improvements.
  • Provide support and training to operational teams (DLMs, ROLs, etc.) and prepare/update guidance tools.
  • Responsible and accountable for revenue recognition for all projects under the client portfolio.
  • Oversee invoicing for fees and expenses for all projects; work closely to ensure timely invoice payment (e.g., investigate causes for aged debt).
  • Manage backlog phasing and adjustments for all projects.
  • Conduct monthly review and analysis of assigned projects, including revenue recognition, project performance variances, contract opportunities, and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Monitor project and customer activity against contract terms to ensure compliance from operational teams and the customer.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure consistency in contract preparation.
  • Align with Contracts, Legal, and Strategic Pricing as appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of new business models.
  • Attend and prepare for monthly reviews.
  • Proactively participate in discussions to identify, communicate, and address financial and contractual issues.
  • Partner with the Operational Excellence Lead and Model Alliance Lead to align on messaging.
  • Manage contract changes, ensuring client approval prior to commencing non-contracted work. Coordinate and prepare pricing and manage the delivery of change documents and legal contracts to the sponsor. Provide guidance on client pricing and contribute to change-order negotiations.
  • Support in business review deliverables (Supply vs Demand, Volatility reporting).
  • Meet customer and internal reporting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Attend operational reviews as needed; share finance results and key messages.
  • Train and coach junior team members.
  • Provide relevant project-level reporting and reconciliations.
  • Be a subject matter expert in business operations activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Experience:

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
