The Opportunity

IQVIA is currently recruiting for a Associate Manager, Data Partnerships in Malaysia. The successful candidate shall be responsible for expanding IQVIA’s data suppliers / partners base in Malaysia which include healthcare institutions such as chain and standalone pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, government institutions, and local healthcare distributors, to support IQVIA’s present and new data offerings. He/She shall also maintain and enhance partner relationships with identified key data partner accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, in consultation with IQVIA management team, and executes the data acquisition strategy.
  • Identifies and leads the pursuit of prospective data partners, including interfacing with the senior management level of prospective data partners to engage key decision makers, to expand IQVIA’s pool of data partners.
  • Anticipates partners’ needs and, in collaboration with internal teams, develops and presents proposed win-win solutions and outcomes to provide solutions prospective data partners’ complex business needs.
  • Proactively manages and negotiates, in consultation with IQVIA management team, the relevant contract renewals and contract expansion opportunities within assigned data partners.
  • Acts as the focal contact point to answer queries and maintain relationships with assigned data partners to deliver excellent data partner satisfaction.
  • Oversees and manages the deliverables to assigned data partners, such as IQVIA data products, customized reports, and marketplace insights, while ensuring that the deliverables meet the required specifications including timeliness and quality.
  • Ensures all data submissions from assigned data partners meet contractual standards of data quality and frequency.
  • Supports the evaluation and engagement efforts of potentially new data types to expand IQVIA’s suite of data offerings.
  • Tracks and updates IQVIA management team on recruitment progress and costs
  • Proactively update internal stakeholders of relevant marketplace updates and insights.
  • Leads and manages a team of data supplier representatives.
  • Provides regular operational guidance, training and coaching to support data supplier team members in engaging healthcare professionals and recruiting new data partners.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Relevant degree qualification i.e. Business, Marketing or a Science Degree.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of related experience, ideally in prior commercial roles that requires commercial interactions with and/or key account management with chain pharmacies and hospitals
  • Relevant commercial experience within the pharmaceutical, consumer health or healthcare provider industry will be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation and customer-focused disposition.
  • Excellent account management & account development skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Strong grasp of conversational and business English (written and oral).
