We are seeking an Associate Scientist, LCMS to join IQVIA Laboratories business in Ithaca, NY.

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Executing routine techniques to analyze biological samples.

  • Managing HPLC(High Performance Liquid Chromatography) column storage, flushing, and organization.

  • Handling waste disposal including biohazard waste, liquid waste, and sharps.

  • Performing a variety of laboratory-based tasks supporting high-level scientists.

  • Ensuring good housekeeping in the lab while adhering to safety requirements.

  • Participating in continuing education through self-study and attending lectures/meetings.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders for cleaner, more accuratedocumentation.

  • Learning instrument set up and support after initialtraining.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required; higher degree is a distinct advantage.

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a regulated laboratory environment is essential; familiarity with biosafety levels is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in executing established test methods, protocols, SOPs adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed for this Role:

  • Familiarity with HPLC column storage management

  • Comprehensive understanding of biological assay procedures with hands-on experience in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

  • Ability to handle biohazard waste safely

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration

  • Knowledgeable about safety protocols including standard precautions & hazardous chemical handling ensuring workplace safety.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously showcasing strong organizational skills; attention to detail is paramount.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $47,600.00 - $79,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
