As part of the Lead Contract Negotiators (LCN), this position provides legal advice and counsel within a function, region or country to support the creation, review, and negotiation of customer and vendor clinical contracts and supports contracting process from triage to contract metric reports.

Responsibilities:


•    Under general guidance from a senior IQVIA attorney, provides legal assistance to IQVIA companies in complying with laws, meeting business objectives, protecting assets and minimizing risks. 
•    Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of clinical contracts (i.e. customer, vendor and non-disclosure agreements.
•    Ensuring that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and organization policies.
•    Monitoring the contract process to assure compliance with the organization’s contractual guidelines for both customers and vendors.
•    Track work and obtain appropriate reviews and approvals, adhering to established processes.
•    Participate or coordinate as a legal contract lead in customer or vendor calls to support negotiations of the contracts.
•    Conduct written and/or verbal follow-up with customers and vendors after the delivery of draft or signature-ready contracts.
•    Support the development and delivery of training to “upskill” non legal staff and/or move non-essential work out of LCN.
•    Support LCN triage activities, track team workload and contract metrics.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

•   Law Bachelor Degree;
•   A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with commercial contracts and/or equivalent qualification
•  Proficient in drafting various type of contracts in English and negotiating complex deals directly with customers and vendors.
•   Prior in-house experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or familiarity with drug discovery and development process will be a plus.

•      Strong organizational, planning, project management, communication, presentation and influence skills.
