Job Profile Summary:  The Senior Payment Associate is responsible for processing clinical trial payments and providing best-in-class customer service to Global CTP team in support of global study payments. Is responsible for the payment processing reconciliation, including but not limited to investigation and reprocessing of all rejected and returned site payments, ensuring all trackers are completed appropriately and within standard processing & control guidelines. The role serves as the secondary point of customer service contact for the Payments Services on payment inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Payment File reconciliations in a growing and diverse multi bank model;
• Set-up of investigator grant payment recommendations for review and approval by the payment processors Supervisor, troubleshooting problems as they occur 
• Process investigator grant payments and deliver these payments to domestic and international research sites
• Promptly investigate and correct rejected or returned Payments
• Assist the Payment Supervisor items SOC 1 Control and oversee the monthly Outstanding Check SOC 1 Control
• Assist in completion of necessary journal entries for the Treasury Dept. on a timely basis for approval by the Payment Supervisor or FO Assoc. Director
• Assist in Payments Team ticket Management providing excellent customer service to the Payments organization, our Sponsors and their sites
• Assist other payment processors with daily tasks
• Provide payment and technical process support to the global payment services team
• Serve as a mentor and continually assist with the training and development of junior personnel
• Support in completion of the FO departmental metrics report and all other necessary payment reports to the organization
• Review and Process grant payment cancellations & reissues; as well as Incoming Payments
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:  Typically requires 2 - 3 years of prior relevant experience                       

Knowledge: Requires inermediate level knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of a job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.    

Education: Bachelor's Degree - Business or Equivalant   

Additional Work Experience:

• Related business experience
• Prior experience at a biotechnology company, CRO, pharmaceutical company preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to assist with training team members
• Must be customer focused and have excellent written and oral communication skills
• High energy, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Able to think independently, and to analyze and solve problems creatively
• Strong time management and planning skills
• Comfortable working in a global company environment
• Strong PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google, MS Project, SAP-Business One)
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines
• Ability to analyze processes to gain efficiencies
