Direct to Participants Product Owner

Location: flexible across Europe, home based

Direct to Participants (DTP) Product Owner provides expertise and system support in developing and enhancing the participant portal of the Health Research Space (HRS) product. The participant portal is expected to be accessed on all types of devices, including mobile devices. HRS is designed to meet the needs of real-world decentralized and hybrid studies as well as supporting Patient Advocacies Groups.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and requirements.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
  • Competent in working at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of product owner or senior business analyst experience is required
  • Experience with direct-to-patient applications is required
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processes to enable execution of those skills.
  • Agile experience desirable
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including a positive and professional attitude and ability to establish peer relationships internally across company departments and cross-functional and external teams.
  • Full life-cycle product development experience.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively prioritize the backlog.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and deliver.
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with HIPAA Security policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information

Soft-skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work and multi-task in a dynamic, high-paced environment and effectively manage change.
  • High energy, self-motivated, approachable, and articulate team player able to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Robust planning, decision-making, and process improvement skills, with a drive for continuous improvement and the ability to ensure procedures and processes are in place that leads to delivery of quality results.
  • Strong attention to detail demonstrating accuracy in tracking and reporting data.
  • Good problem-solving skills: able to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes, and propose solutions and alternatives to issues.
  • Influence with and without authority in a cross-functional role.
  • Ability to absorb and ingest: Complete and understand complex analysis of numbers and data focusing on health care data/bioinformatics; and read, analyze, and interpret complex written materials.
