Describe your current role at IQVIA.

As a Client Services representative at IQVIA, my focus is on supporting IQVIA’s clinical trial investigator payment operations. I manage a portfolio of studies in the Americas, which involves leading study calls with project teams, reviewing invoices and handling payment approvals and related inquiries.

Can you share some highlights on your career journey that helped shape your career at IQVIA?

I have always been a problem-solver, so it is no surprise that I have gravitated toward client services roles my entire career. I realized I loved having a meaningful impact on my customers’ success, so as opportunities arose, I took on larger roles that allowed me to strengthen and grow my skills. I made it a point to keep growing outside of the workplace, too. For example, I studied audiovisual arts in school and still edit videos as a hobby to exercise my creative brain. Creativity is a must-have in my current role because the challenges we face are rarely straightforward. The ability to look at a situation from multiple perspectives and find the best solution is important in any Client Services role at IQVIA.

What motivated you to join the clinical research industry?

Clinical research is one of the few industries that allows employees to have a significant impact on healthcare with the potential to improve patient health on a global scale. This motivation continues to fuel my passion for the clinical research industry.

What do you enjoy most about your role within Client Services at IQVIA?

I love supporting people and connecting with coworkers from around the globe. Being part of a collaborative team is energizing, and the mutual support we share keeps me motivated.

How would you describe the culture at IQVIA?

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance at IQVIA has been very achievable. The opportunity to work from home has significantly improved my personal and professional life balance, saving commuting time and allowing for flexibility I would otherwise not have. As a result, I have more opportunities in my day to do other things I enjoy, which keeps me grounded and in a better headspace for work. IQVIA also has a fantastic well-being program that includes activities like mindfulness sessions and well-being conferences, and these have been helpful resources for our team.

How does IQVIA support you in achieving your career goals?

IQVIA offers numerous career growth opportunities for those committed to continuous development. As IQVIANs, we have access to LinkedIn Learning, which provides a wealth of courses to enhance our skills and abilities. These resources can make a meaningful difference. For instance, I started as an associate client services lead and, thanks to the career development tools provided, I was promoted to a full client services lead role—a goal I had set for myself.
