That’s where our IQVIA Career Model comes in, providing you with structure and guidance to transform your curiosity into a personalized career path. It’s a tool you can use even if you don’t work here (yet). Where you start in the Career Model depends on which question you’re trying to answer right now. If you're unsure about your next career move, you’re in the Explore stage of the Career Model, and you need to investigate your interests and options. Exploring could mean reading articles, attending conferences, or engaging in online courses to broaden your horizons and discover what excites you. Then, you’re much more likely to target the right move for the right reasons.

If you’re asking this question, you’re in the Develop stage of the Career Model, where you’re looking to identify and build the skills you need to make your next move. This is a great time to leverage open-source online learning resources and certification programs to further enhance your skill set.

The IQVIA Learning Academy helps IQVIANs upskill or reskill by providing access to a variety of courses they can tailor to their career goals, with content focused on the most important skills our company needs for the future.

“I’ve invested the time to learn new skills, but where can I get experience applying them?”

When you’re ready to put your learning to work through hands-on experience, you’re in the Practice phase of the Career Model. This is the time to get involved in professional associations, volunteer for relevant projects, or seek out internships to gain practical experience and build your portfolio.

At IQVIA, Career Connections projects are short-term assignments that can help IQVIANs apply what they’ve learned in a practical setting while providing the project team with the skills they need in the short term. Employees can also use the Career Connections platform to find a mentor in an area of interest.
