Job Profile Summary

Under general supervision, designs, develops, and maintains the pipelines, infrastructure, tools, and frameworks needed to facilitate the collection, analysis,modelling and visualization of data.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains data pipelines to clean, transform, and prepare data for analytics, ensuring data accuracy and consistency aligned with business goals.

  • Design and implement data models to ensure data quality, scalability, and efficiency.

  • Create and update documentation for data processes, data flows, and system configurations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise in data engineering.

  •  Continuously optimize data pipelines and processes to improve performance and efficiency.

  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases and data warehouses.

  • Implements data governance practices to ensure data consistency, quality, and traceability throughout the data lifecycle.

Experience

Essential Functions

  •  2–3 years of proven experience in the data analytics and data engineering field.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages (Python, R, etc.).

  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

  • Understanding of basic ETL concepts, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

  • Familiarity with orchestration tools for ETL processes (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect).

  • Knowledge of data integration techniques and best practices.

  • Experience with data mapping, data modeling and data transformation rules.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug ETL processes.

  • Skills in data quality assessment, data profiling, and data cleansing.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with DBT (data build tool).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
