PURPOSE

Deliver specific accounting tasks to ensure timely and accurate accounting in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US GAAP, as well as local GAAP and tax rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expense Reports/Cash Advances/Requisitions auditing based on the Romanian legislation and internal policies and procedure, support and guidance for staff related to Travel & Expenses and Purchasing Module
  • Backup for Accountant colleague for Accounts Payable invoice booking;
  • Backup for Accountant regarding month end process, reconciliations and debit collection within deadlines and instructions.
  • Bank statements review on a weekly basis according to payments queries
  • Ensure archiving, printing, collecting all financials documents as per Romanian legislation
  •  Back up for accountant related to support for Angels Consultants (according to IQVIA partnering with Boehringer Ingelheim) related to sponsorship and speaker contracts prepared for all educational and scientific events organized by checking and validating all financial data such as Registration number/Personal Identification Number, Contract values (withholding tax if applicable);
  • Set-up the new suppliers in the system and follow-up for Requisitions/PO’s/Receipt and payments;
  • Maintain adequate and current documentation of the systems of internal control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Good command in English
  • Good knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Value functions…)

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree and experience in accounting;
  • Meticulous person, inclined to details, cooperative;
  • Ability to assimilate new knowledge and apply it in the current activity
  • Communication skills, teamwork.
