The RWE (Real World Evidence) Patient-Centered Endpoints Center of Excellence has been created at IQVIA. Taking advantage of the psychometric, epidemiology, and patient-centricity expertise, the Center of Excellence assists teams in the selection of relevant patient-centric measures, in establishing measurement models that incorporate combination of directly measured, clinician-reported, caregiver-reported and patient-reported outcome, in the validation of such measures when needed, and in the interpretation of collected results for a meaningful clinical picture. The CoE also engages in psychometric work and qualitative studies of high scientific quality.


 
PURPOSE
Provide project related support and assistance for assigned project(s) and project teams with minimal supervision. Will ensure all work is conducted in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices, good clinical practices and meets quality and timeline metrics.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • License in-house clinical outcome assessments to customers
    • Primary point of contact for all license and instrument queries from customers from initial license request through delivery of instrument and user manual and project execution
    • Respond to queries about implementation of instruments in studies and escalate queries appropriately
    • Track all license requests and context of use of the instruments
    • Ensure all licensees agree to required terms and conditions, liaising with Legal as necessary
    • Archive fully executed license agreements and other relevant documentation
    • Procure new translations from our preferred translations provider that meet our clients’ study needs and timelines and deliver these translations to clients
    • Provide monthly report of executed license agreements, including billing details, to Finance and Billing and other internal stakeholders
    • Provide monthly (or upon request) financial reporting of revenue and expenses for these instruments to upper management
    • Obtain, track, and organize datasets from licensees with instrument and Sociodemographic data for psychometric assessment as agreed in license agreement
    • Submit website update requests to Web Development (i.e. when we procure new instrument translations that need to be added to our list of available translations on our client-facing TSQM website)
       
  • Provide support for projects and project proposals by gathering needed details and licenses for requested clinical outcome assessments
    • Obtain license-related information for project proposals and consult on operational implementation of instruments
       
  • Assist in the creation of a license cost database for project proposals budgeting purposes
     
  • Provide support to the Account Administrator for external platforms as required (eg. ePROVIDE):
    • Renew platform’s subscription annually, including ensuring appropriate invoicing and payment of invoice
    • Organize company-wide annual platform’s training session included with our subscription
    • Introduce internal IQVIA colleagues to platforms and instruct them on how to create an account and use for COA questionnaire licensing needs
    • Liaise with assigned PMAs to provide support for licensing questions
    • Provide timely approval of platform account requests
       
  • Provide Support to Scientific Affairs Project and Financial Management
    • Complete monthly revenue recognition, backlog, and invoicing of Scientific Affairs-only projects (currently about 20-25 projects)
    • Own tracking of these projects and reporting of financial metrics to senior management
    • Lead contracting process between IQVIA and client, including confirming accurate representation of project scope and budget details in contract and timely execution of contract
    • Upon contract execution, ensure projects are set up appropriately in People Soft financial system via collaboration with Finance (confirm budget allocated appropriately, inform project team members project code is active for time coding, etc)
    • Liaise between internal team members and client to execute change orders as necessary
    • Conduct internal presentations on Project Management for Scientific Affairs projects, broken down by project phase and including responsibilities of Scientific Affairs lead roles during each phase
 
  • Provide Support Qualification and Support of External Scientific Affairs Contractors (eg. Epi excellence)
    • Onboard new team members
    • Generate purchase orders for each project
    • Work with external and internal scientific affairs contractors for management, legal, and Scientific Affairs members to execute work order per relevant project
    • Liaise with client for approval of external scientific affairs contractors requested edits to client’s required legal language in contracts
    • Review invoices and ensure on-time payment
    • Track our use of external scientific affairs contractors (including team member names and project code, execution of work orders, scope of work, purchase order numbers, invoice amounts, invoice receipt and payment dates, etc)
       
  • May undertake additional activities as directed by project manager


Job Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or other related field and minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical research experience with analytical/financial skills; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
     
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiringaccurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
