Q2 Solutions seeks to hire a Marketing Intern for summer 2019. We are looking for a student to work with our Marketing team in our RTP office for a summer internship. The ideal candidate will be organized, with an interest in marketing functions. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in Marketing, Marketing Operations or Business Development to gain excellent experience.

The Role: The successful candidate will be chosen based on readiness to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, and a drive to ensure project initiatives are met. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist the core marketing team in conceptualizing and executing multiple Marketing initiatives; including web development, advertising, internal and external communications, market research, competitive intelligence, and creative collateral in order to meet organizational objectives
  • Assist with work on events, trade shows, webinars, B2B social media marketing, product documentation & more
  • Assist with activities such as email marketing, newsletter, direct mail, website creation, and writing and editing of content
  • Maintain multiple online tools for managing marketing initiatives, campaigns, and customer activity

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and is comfortable with engaging others and asking questions
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive, and is a self-starter with great organizational skills
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of print and web techniques, including Adobe Creative Tools
  • Able to provide examples of recent work leveraging design skills, portfolio strongly encouraged
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Basic project management and time-management, with ability to manage projects independently
  • Strong organizational skill and attention to detail and quality
  • Work effectively within a team environment
  • Intermediate oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of events management and marketing technology or digital asset management is a plus
  • Passion for the clinical research industry is a plus

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Pursuing BA or BS in Marketing, or Communications; or, Graduate student with Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • College-level coursework related to marketing, communications or other related technical field
