Job Description

As an Inside Sales representative, you play a fundamental role in supporting our revenue growth objectives. You provide the offering knowledge, industry expertise and sales acumen to identify and qualify revenue opportunities, proactively manage the selling process and close the sale in the General Business segment of our market (mid-sized and small accounts, both existing and new). Over time, you will build your own network of relationships with senior decision makers in your customers and potentially grow with them into Key Account Management.


Principal Accountabilities:

Principal accountabilities for our Inside Sales are:

  • Maintain and expand our database of prospects and customers within your assigned territory.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and - but not limited to - social, phone calls, email, mailings and seminars.
  • Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the IQVIA offering, our customers and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the other internal teams (Consulting, Client Services, Technology, …) to determine the best solution fit to your client’s needs.
  • (Co-) write and present proposals that result in winning sales.
  • Take proactive role in contract negotiations and lead the sales cycles.
  • Ensure the quarterly and full year revenue targets are met for the assigned group of accounts.
  • Develop long-term business relationships with key executives and decision makers.
  • Manage the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and management on sales and marketing strategy.



Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Ideally, the candidate should have:

  • A first proven (Inside) Sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers
  • Strong listening and questioning skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, required to offer your customer our best solution with minimal supervisory guidance.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

The ideal candidate has – at least – a basic understanding of industry trends and key business challenges for the healthcare/pharmaceutical business.
