RESPONSIBILITIES  Support strategic planning, direction and business/strategic development initiatives for an assigned customer.  Manage and oversee the development and/or tracking of key account performance and value metrics.  Direct and manage global contracts which govern functional service provide leadership project units, managed partnerships, and/or risk shared investments to the customer’s satisfaction.  Ensure the appropriate implementation and ongoing management, overseeing customer relationship management, resourcing per contract specifications, quality deliverables on time and the requisite financial performance.  Support the strategic planning, direction and execution of customer business development initiatives.  Serve as primary contact with select customer contacts to ensure appropriate communication channels are maintained and reporting schedules adhered to.  Work with internal functional unit team members to develop requisite pricing models and associated resource plans.  Participate in sales/proposal presentations in face-to-face meetings with potential clients.  Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Good problem solving skills.  Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics.  Strong influencing and negotiation skills.  Good matrix team leadership skills.  Excellent customer service skills.  Sound judgment and decision making skills.  Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications.  Strong financial analysis skills; preferably thorough understanding of company margins, pricing strategies, and profitability measures.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or related field and 10 years’ clinical research experience including 6 years’ project and/or financial management experience and experience in a key CRO/Pharmaceutical function, e.g. sales, marketing, data management, clinical operations, laboratory, pre-clinical; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
