The Information Management division of IQVIA’s Global Technology Solutions delivers industry leading software products for Master Data Management (MDM) to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. 

The Team Lead is accountable for designing the solutions for MDM. The individual provides technical direction for the development and design of provided requirements and involves a high degree of independence and broad exposure to all aspects of applications programming including configuration, maintenance, design, implementation and documentation. This role gives you the opportunity to remain hands-on with code while providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers. The individual provides on-time and accurate release work on complex programming tasks and ensures a high level of quality control and quality assurance.


Responsibilities:

  • Executes project development plan in agile manner with the resources which may require extensive research, analysis and complex product design activities:
  • Administer and perform design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems
  • Participate in product design meetings and does code reviews
  • Review complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products
  • Provide guidance to the programmer to researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problems
  • Ensure unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits
  • Assist in performing configuration or support of deployed products for IQVIA.
  • Mentor developers to ensure adherence to good quality coding, testing and documentation processes
  • Research and understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues
  • Create technical documents to capture design and features implemented by the team as needed
  • Research new technology or development tools to remain abreast of current technology


Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Windows operating system environments
  • Strong quality control/quality assurance understanding
  • Capability of coding, testing and debugging programs of high complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of program design, program logic and flow charting, program testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Analytical and design skills at an integrated multi-product environment level
  • General skills in research, project planning and implementation
     

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience with Master Data Management, Informatica, Java, JSON structures and REST based web services
  • Agile / Scrum development methodology experience is a must
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL and/or noSQL
  • 3+ years’ experience leading/mentoring an engineering team
  • Prior experience in Salesforce or Veeva and AWS is a plus
  • Prior experience managing resources and executing project plans
  • Some experience assisting in database maintenance and following guidelines of various Technical Procedures Manuals
