BI Data Architect Delivery Lead Position Summary This position is responsible for the This position is responsible for the architecture, design and modeling of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This position will also play an instrumental role working with development, maintenance and support teams of the BI platforms. The ideal candidate will be well versed in Data Integration, Data Modeling, and BI technologies. The incumbent will work closely with the Delivery Lead, Delivery Team, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects and PMO, and will lead the team of developers in order to support the needs of the business and overall health of the system

Responsibilities
 • Proficient and hands in Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, SQL Server
• Proficient in Azure Cloud
• Identify solutions and provide sound designs that comply with architecture standards
• Ensure quality of changes and solutions to be implemented (through development and unit testing)
• Knowledge maintaining a stable environment via pro-active monitoring of the system and environment Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the quality of the application solution from review and approval of solution architecture and design through testing of developed applications
• Responsible for resolution of technical application issues while adhering to departmental service level agreements
• Monitor BI-related system performance and recommend/lead improvement efforts.
• Work with delivery leads to ensure all handoffs are accurate to release and change management (tickets updated, travelers correct)
• Pro-actively monitor BI system upgrades, patches and new releases to ensure the system is operating on a supported and optimal environment.
• Coordinate with other system leads on functional or technical dependencies.
• Interface and Participate in Enterprise Information Management Activities as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned
Incumbents in this position determine and approve the functional and detailed designs of technical solutions to satisfy business requirements and solve production issues.

• Incumbents make decisions on technical solutions and designs that must adhere to Technical Standards and Procedures as defined by IT Architecture.

• Decisions made by this position outline and define the success and sustainability of information systems ability to support the business unit can have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and profitability (i.e. Margin improvements, volume improvements, operating efficiency improvements, etc.)

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 
Thorough knowledge of the Business Solution(s) being supported
• Possess knowledge of the Peoplesoft applications .
• Applies a thorough understanding of data model and relationships (tables, views, indices, and standard application program interfaces) as the basis for troubleshooting and resolving problems
• Possesses strong knowledge of ETL design principles
• Possesses strong knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence principles
 • Ensure data architecture solutions achieve performance, availability, integrity, and security requirements
• Experience in supporting business operations and analysis of business process issues.
• Knowledgeable of business processes and supply chain management principles
• Possesses an understanding and experience of Software development lifecycle principles
• Ability to mentor and provide leadership to development team
• Experience with adhering to software development and configuration management process procedures/standards.

• Knowledge in Clinical Trials Education / Training Required

Minimum experience and education

• 12+ years IT Application development, maintenance and support experience in the Business Intelligence Field

• Four year degree required, computer science degree preferred or experience in an Equivalent Position Discretion, Authority and Independent Judgment
