Data Analyst II – Naples Office

Department:  Data Management

Reports to:   Manager Data Operations

Summary: This is a staff position within the Data Management Group. The position requires in depth knowledge and experience using best practices and knowledge of business processes with a primary focus on the Specialty Pharmacy channel. This candidate will look for improvement in the products and services for Specialty. They will resolve complex problems taking a new perspective using existing solutions. Will participate in and at times coordinate internal or external meeting and be able to present Data Operations in those meetings. Work closely with the Data Operations manager in implementation of new data feeds that may require ETL configuration, connection setup etc. Act as the primary resource when major system impacts event occurs at the Naples site and coordinate appropriate support for resolution. Gather metrics on regular basis to evaluate impact on current business processes.

This position is also responsible for maintaining a library of data processing standards and procedure manuals as well as applying expert knowledge in working through day to day issues and enhancements specific to the Naples office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The position required working independently on both routine and complex issues.

Excellent communications and time management skills

Setup, configuration and mapping of data sets related to Specialty Pharmacy

Daily monitoring of inbound, PHI de-identification processing, ETL, archiving and outbound data flows

Applies broad knowledge to identify and resolve issues related to file processing and PHI

Provide support to Orchard Park Data Analysts as needed

Willingness to take on department projects such as Specialty Pharmacy implementations, new tools, processed or data types

Collaborate with Customer Support and Implementation teams on issues relating to Specialty Pharmacy customer data

Work with trading partners to resolve technical issues and monitoring for delays, duplicate or erroneous data.

Back-out and re-process data

Coordinates and monitors UPK and Talend (ETL) related projects

Maintains documentation associated with all facets of the position

Qualifications / Education / Experience

Good interpersonal skills

Able to work independently in a fasted paced environment

Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and schedule activities associated with the processing of customer data

Knowledgeable and proficient in writing and executing SQL queries, preferably in an Oracle environment

Solid understanding of database architecture

Able to identify and recommend enhancements

Ability to execute tactically while understanding strategic implications

The ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercise initiative and judgment

HIPAA certification a plus

7 – 10 yrs. experience working with handling of inbound outbound data transactions

ETL experience, preferably Talend

BS in Computer Science, MIS or related preferred
