Job Title:                      Snr Business Analyst

Department:                 UK Production, Technology and Commercial Solutions

Location:                      Pentonville Road, London


  • Support and drive Northern Europe based projects by implementing positive change to support business initiatives
  • Coordinating local office and offshore teams to deliver these projects in parallel with their daily commitments
  • Investigate challenges, analyse complex business problems and make recommendations to improve on processes and data quality
  • To think creatively to generate new solutions and make improvements to current processes that deliver value to our operations or customers
  • Be a bridge that spans the gap between the Business and Technology teams


  • Support strategic projects around big data re-platforming and champion positive change in development work to support business initiatives
  • Manage internal project communications to all levels of stakeholders
  • Developing user story requirements using Jira, creating test plans and other key project documentation
  • Become a subject matter expert for new system development, including system requirement gathering, user acceptance testing and implementation
  • Execute complex pieces of data analysis to answer business questions
  • Identify problems, innovate and make recommendations to find solutions to data problems
  • Support various Production functions where need arises to ensure on time delivery and quality to clients
  • Contribute to team effort through communication, cooperation and coordination across IQVIA


  • Strong data knowledge and analytical skills
  • Fluent in SQL and ideally a programming language such as R or Python
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interpret and present complex concepts
  • Experience of Agile projects and methodologies
  • Experience in new systems implementation and change management
  • Awareness of big data and associated tools, such as Hadoop and Data Lakes
  • Desired (but not essential) some experience in a Data Visualisation Tool such as MicroStrategy
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge desired but not essential
  • Experience in producing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access data models/tools for analysis, data quality assurance and reporting
