Job Description

IQVIA are looking for a Lead Medical Writer to join the Medical Communications team in our Integrated Market Access division. You will have the opportunity to develop a range of offerings, including medical affairs (scientific platform generation and publications, advisory boards, educational symposia, market access materials, medical science liaison support, medical information) and promotional activities. In addition, we have a growing patient support and adherence team and you will have the opportunity to participate in patient facing communications initiatives. Thanks to our unique position within IQVIA™, The Human Data Science Company™, our collaborative offerings extend well beyond those of a traditional medical communications group, and you will have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams with our colleagues specializing in medical affairs, commercialization, market access, and real world evidence to develop new solutions to help move healthcare forward.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years medical writing experience and bring a combination of scientific knowledge, medical writing expertise, strategic insight and client-facing leadership. We value proactive thinkers who have the ability and desire to work in multifunctional teams to create innovative communications solutions.

Requirements:
Proven experience in writing in the medical/scientific communications field
Demonstrable knowledge of healthcare/scientific communications business objectives, services and operating procedures
Experience with research tools and approaches, such as reference management/publication planning databases
Good awareness of current industry code of practice guidelines and their implications
Strong presentation skills
Strong computer skills, including MS office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet
Ability to coach and mentor team members
Ability to oversee medical project team outputs, ensuring quality, compliance, appropriateness and profitability
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, clients and suppliers
Budgetary awareness

Experience:Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MS, MPH, MSN, etc) or equivalent, plus 5 years industry experience
