About us:

The Cloud Automation Architecture team provides strategic direction related to the design and implementation of next generation hybrid cloud automation using infrastructure as code best practices, operationalizing security, compliance, scalability and reliability while improving time-to-value.

The team focuses on building a new capability to configure and provision infrastructure automatically though code in private and public clouds and documenting automation standards for use by the organization.



Responsibilities

  • Design and implement composable Terraform modules for reusable infrastructure deployments, including Kubernetes, Mesosphere DC/OS, and Cloudera clusters in public and private clouds
  • Evolve large-scale highly distributed systems with semantically versioned Terraform modules
  • Create automated tests for Terraform modules
  • Combine multiple reusable modules to build an entire end-to-end technology stack
  • Document workflow architecture and gain approval from the key stakeholders


Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MS degree is preferred
  • 50-50 mix between Software Development and System Administration experience
  • Expert level experience in Terraform, Vault, Packer, and Consul
  • Expert knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, and Mesos)
  • Strong hands-on programming expertise with the following languages: Go, Python, Shell
  • Proficient in leveraging Jenkins to automate testing and deployments
  • Proficient with git and git workflows to manage source code changes
  • Experience with ELK and Prometheus
  • Expert knowledge of UNIX system internals
  • Knowledge of Networking/Security: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Security
  • Technical architecture knowledge and proven experience of AWS and Azure public clouds, orchestrating end-to-end solutions using cloud services
  • Expert level experience in working with virtualization technology (VMWare)
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Development framework such as SCRUM
  • Proven ability to work remotely with teams of various sizes in same/different timezones, from anywhere and still remain highly motivated, productive, and organized
