We are currently seeking applicants for a Scientist 2 level associate to join our Discovery team in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Scientist 2, Discovery works both independently and with senior scientific staff to successfully develop sample preparation and LC/MS bioanalytical procedures for drug discovery projects.
  • Develop LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods and sample preparation procedures for in vivo drug discovery studies.
  • Execute LC-MS/MS and sample analysis using LIMS.
  • Work with assigned Lab Operations staff and senior scientific staff in troubleshooting discovery projects.
  • Communicate progress and status to the Manager of Discovery frequently.
  • Participate in client communications.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to assigned Lab Operations staff.
  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to follow verbally communicated or written procedures
  • Experience in routine laboratory procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail when performing laboratory procedures
  • Ability to develop clear and efficient experimental documentation
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field with 3 years' progressively responsible experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
