Ada’s micro-intelligent services use machine learning, natural language processing and deep learning techniques as appropriate, and relies on a big data layer.

Role Purpose:

The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with a product development team. You will be working in an Agile environment to improve the quality, reliability and performance of the application under test.  The job offers excellent opportunities to work on interesting business solutions and challenging technology. Understanding the product and finding good ways to ‘break’ the software are key to improving quality in this role. Automation is key to test efficiency on this project. As the team is spread out in multiple geographies, the ability to work with the team on a daily basis, communicating effectively and being a positive team player is essential.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Be a Lead Tester who can test a complex solution and work independently (including ETL, data lake, query APIs with containerization deployment)
  • Develop and execute test scenarios for back end testing (ETL, API, Services, etc) of the Ada platform
  • Design and run quality test, as well as performance tests
  • Have the ability to quickly automate test scenarios
  • Review agile functional and design requirements to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables to enable development of good test scenarios
  • Identify defects and impact on the solutions
  • Deliver high quality software that matches technical requirements in a timeframe that matches business needs
  • Collaborate with globally distributed Product Management and Development on Agile teams
  • Follow process by adhering to documented methodology.  Provide good and clear test cases, with traceability to requirements and defects
  • Should be able to perform manual testing or create test cases or create automate test scripts depending on the need of the team

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related subject is preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant back-end QA Automation Engineering experience
  • At least 2+ years experience with Python programming (testing area)
  • Experience in back end testing (ETL, API, Services, Datcenter Automation etc)
  • Experience in Frontend and/or RPA testing (Selenium, Robot Framework)
  • Experience testing cloud-based application, and docker and kubernetes deployments
  • Experience in designing and managing test suites for beforementioned use cases
  • Experience working using the agile development methodology
  • Strong experience with test driven development methodologies
  • Experience in testing iOS apps and/or salesforce.com apps or performing ui automation for either is a plus
  • Prior experience in using tools like Testrail, jira and confluence is a plus
  • Good analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills required
