Job Profile Summary: The Lifecycle Safety (LCS) Business Analyst Lead position performs a lead role in supporting multiple business units within LCS and project teams in the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the deal cycle. ​The BA lead will support the upselling, co-selling and reselling of Safety Services in managing the Lifecycle Safety Pricing Tool, future based cost models and complex FSP budgets. The BA Lead will mentor and coach Lifecycle Safety Project Managers, LCS Operational Leadership,  LCS Product Specialists and PV Tech Solutions teams as they ensure that requirements are fully understood by the Proposals, Strategic Pricing and technical team before solutions are designed and implemented.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Gathers and pressure tests the updates to LCS pricing model and works with to Strategic Pricing in the validation and remediation of pricing models
  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis in order to provide high quality and detailed requirements, ensuring the closest involvement with, and agreement from, the consumers of the cost model
  • Provides expert help to our LCS proposal team to deal with extremely challenging programming for large FSPs Teaches and reteaches our Lifecycle Safety Project Managers and Product Specialists on the LCS Pricing Tool and supports LCS Project Managers through Change Orders
  • Leads and actively supports the migration of all older cost model to the new LCS cost model in 2019
  • Supports the LCS proposals team with accurate bid grid linking exercises
  • Ownership and Responsibility for Lifecycle Safety Pricing Model including but not limited to Lifecycle Safety Pricing Tool, Emerging BioPharma and Clinical Trial Add-on Pricing Tool
  • Validates Deal Margin with Strategic Pricing and runs analyses on Deal Vs Delivery Margins
  • Assists with budget analyses and spend projections for customers for various phases of delivery
  • Assists Senior Leadership with quantification assessments on LCS pricing
  • Provides input into new pricing models, potential margin drain and novel concepts in formulating PV pricing.
  • Researches and updates benchmarking information to support Deal Reviews
  • Create prototypes and simulations to provide an accurate, graphical user interface representation, thereby facilitating successful solution design and development
  • Resolve conflicting end-user requirements
  • Collaborate with the LCS Proposals Team to align to GBO procedures
  • Model processes to clarify business requirements, and to enhance or re-engineer business processes, prior to, or in parallel with, solution design and implementation, as necessary
  • Produce and review data/information models and preliminary system architecture, as needed
  • As needed, implement new cost scenarios into existing LCS pricing model
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to business requirements and UI design specifications
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables
  • Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
  • Develop training and support programs for global lifecycle safety and PV Tech Solutions, as needed


  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in health science or other directly related field with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical services company or a pharmaceutical company inclusive of five years of marketed product services working experience including but not limited to pharmacovigilance, benefit-risk management, phase 4 clinical trials, registries, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, commercial sales, and manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Fluent in English.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience leading complex, cross-functional programmatic delivery with proven success in leading global quality and training programs as well implementing organizational change initiatives.


  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Will require occasional travel
