Role Summary:

Works directly with clients to provide value added input, to develop business opportunities and to manage and deliver LCNIS projects. Has responsibility for ensuring delivery of high levels of client satisfaction. Also responsible for coaching within project teams and will have line management and/or mentoring responsibility for several members of the project team. Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key point of contact for clients.
  • Author protocols, reports and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure quality and completeness of output, oversees timeline for deliverables associated with study reporting.
  • Review and provide relevant epidemiological and outcomes research input to statistical analysis plans and analysis output.
  • Review and provide epidemiology and outcomes research input for tasks including CRF/eCRF development, form previews and other ad hoc project tasks.
  • Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and identify new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organizations.
  • Independently generate content and direction for business development proposals.
  • Interact with clients including attendance at bid defenses and other remote or on-site presentations and discussions.
  • Provide methodological review/input for work of peers and junior staff in areas including health economics and outcomes research.
  • Identify client-related, budget-related and internal issues that may require attention or escalation.
  • Monitor budgets for contracted work to assure project completion within scope and budget.
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address client issues.
  • Contributes to intra- and interdepartmental process improvement to achieve ‘best practices’ and to support effective delivery.
  • Helps to define and provide appropriate levels of professional development and training for staff.
  • Represents IQVIA externally through conference presentations.
  • May oversee or conduct statistical analysis as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to design, plan and conduct observational studies of comparative effectiveness, safety and cost.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients in a global environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.
    Must be highly organized and self-motivated with a proven ability to determine and meet objectives.
  • Ability and interest in managing and supporting the development of one or more junior team members.

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 10 years relevant education and experience required; Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics or a relevant field and 8 years relevant experience; or PhD and 7 years relevant experience preferred. Direct Line Management experience for one or more years preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of outcomes research methodologies, as well as an understanding of clinical and healthcare system dynamics.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning and change management skills.
  • Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.
