The Market Access Strategy Consulting Group within IQVIA is an exciting and dynamic consulting practice where you can start or continue your career in healthcare consulting. The Role of a Senior Consultant:

The Market Access Strategy Consulting Group recruits Senior Consultants with relevant work experience in consulting, data analytics, or the life sciences industry. After receiving training, Senior Consultants are expected to quickly be able to contribute to all aspects of client engagements including leading engagements. As Senior Consultants gain additional experience they are expected to run projects, maintain client relationships, assist in writing project proposals, and manage the work of more junior colleagues. The leadership, analytic guidance, and creativity of our Senior Consultants’ work is critical to the success of our engagement teams and our practice as a whole.

As a Senior Consultant you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Planning, organizing, and managing the strategic analyses of Big Data to derive trends, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for clients
  • Leading internal brainstorming sessions and the collaborating of engagement team members throughout client engagements
  • Synthesizing results and recommendations from the evaluation of secondary data on markets, physicians, patients, and competitive products
  • Developing and working with sophisticated predictive models
  • Designing, structuring, and delivering reports, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Developing client relationships through face-to-face discussions or workshops, telephone or email contact
  • Managing more junior team members work
  • Developing project work plans for engagement teams
  • Assisting in the identification of follow-on work or new leads and the writing of project proposals
  • Developing a broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training
  • Assisting with the recruitment of new team members

An ideal candidate will have: 

  • 4-6 years of work experience in consulting, data analytics, or other relevant areas within the life sciences industry (master’s degree a plus)
  • Project or team management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, strong quantitative skills, and be a proven team contributor
  • An interest in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving healthcare industry
  • Strong project planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
  • Exceptional IT literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel (SQL is a plus)
  • A willingness or ability to travel as needed (10-25% on average)
