Job Description

Core responsibilities:

Direction Setting

  • Consistently scan industry for trends and opportunities
    • Drive innovation in methods and approaches
    • Seek better ways of working via automation, technology, off-shoring, etc.
  • Provide feedback and direction on Commercial Services (CS) offerings based on project and customer feedback
  • Set the team organizational strategy and direction based on USBU and CS goals and priorities

Sales Enablement

  • Support BD and sales efforts across all teams
    • Offering standardization
    • Cost standardization
    • Supplemental business development efforts
  • Codification of best-in-class delivery methods / approaches / tools

Delivery Excellence

  • Monitor and manage quality and timeliness across all delivery teams
  • Ensure high-level of client satisfaction in delivery
  • Define and evolve delivery standards and ensure consistent implementation across all teams
  • Define, implement and manage PMO standards across CS teams as well as collaborating with other organizations in IQVIA to bring a consistent experience for clients across all teams
  • Constantly review delivery processes for efficiency and effectiveness gains via process improvement, automation and offshore.  Create “standard” work whenever possible
  • Contribute to best practices around patient data / LAAD, SFE, Oncology and HPD implementations
  • Constantly monitor project costs and issues and ensure issues are resolved and/or escalated in a timely manner
  • Implement and manage knowledge sharing across all teams including key therapeutic areas via Cowen reports and other sources
  • Develop and maintain key clinical resources to ensure successful study setup and execution
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels to balance demand with utilization.  Leverage resourcing across CS CoEs and other USBU Services lines
  • Measure and manage staff to consistent, challenging standards across all teams
  • Work closely with COE and Segment leads to ensure staffing is skilled in current and future direction of Commercial Services offerings
  • Establish training and certification programs to build capabilities internally at IQVIA
  • Develop/retain staff and provide clear career planning and progression
  • Assist with monitoring of all CS investments in collaboration with USP Solutions investment slate

Cross-functional team responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Advanced Analytics to ensure teams are aligned on client projects, resourcing, and costs
  • Collaborate with IQVIA Development and AA to optimize delivery of Extracts, Custom Studies and recurring deliverables
  • Partner with offshore centers to optimize resourcing and create career paths for offshore teams
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the development of longitudinal patient methodology to be used across IQVIA as well as the development and evolution of platforms to maximize delivery efficiency
  • Collaborate with Patient CoE lead to evolve the integrated delivery model incorporating all longitudinal assets, new offerings and client feedback
  • Partner with COS for resourcing needs during peak periods to optimize staffing levels
  • Collaborate with internal teams developing patient reporting platforms and provide subject matter expertise on metrics and reporting
  • Partner with sales teams and personnel to collect client feedback and support the delivery process
  • Partner with GTM teams to ensure compliance on upstream processes providing clear and timely administration of opportunities, SOWs, projects and EPRs


  • ~$100M+ of revenue delivery falling under the following CoE’s:
    • Patient-centered analytics, SFE, HPD, Med Tech, Oncology
  • Directly manages a team of ~10 senior professionals and the extended team of 70+ consulting and service members

Required experience:

  • 15+ years’ experience with proven results delivering patient-centered analytics, SFE and/or  related engagements
  • Strong project management and process skills/experience
  • Deep knowledge of US Lifesciences/Healthcare markets
  • Customer-facing consulting experience

Education required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or a related business degree. MBA preferred.
