Career Opportunity – Application Support Analyst

We are searching for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join the team. You will play a key support role on the Specialty Pharma project team, monitoring the status of data feeds and providing initial Level 1 technical support. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and analytical; a natural problem-solver with the patience and interpersonal savvy to succeed in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You’re flexible and adaptable, able to provide on-call support during off-hours, and support user requests. This position will offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skill-set while learning from industry leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the operations dashboard, identifying issues and managing them to resolution
• Field L1 support phone calls / emails and open, resolve and close trouble tickets
• Production support of existing Data Feed Management system functionality
• Working with technical team in developing functional specs as required
• Testing and evaluation of Data Feed Management system functionality
• Reviewing and maintaining business and technical process documentation
• Interaction with users from various functional areas (Data Analysts, IT Support, Suppliers, Clients, Finance, etc.)
• Reviewing and assisting on support requests
• Interaction with technical resources to define technical requirements
• Coordinate and assist in development and execution of supplier migrations
• Supporting other members of the Data Feeds Management Team
• May require on-call support after hours, including weekends

Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a LINUX/UNIX environment. Knowledge of MySQL, Java and PERL an asset
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting issues using problem determination best practices
• A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team oriented environment
• Ability to escalate issues, present work and explain findings to management and sr. team members as required
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
• Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive and confidential environment
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written communication skills
• Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies
