PURPOSE

This role is to strategically direct and lead the planning, oversight and implementation of an integrated HR function supporting all Nordics based business lines covering approximately 500 employees across the region. Through strong and engaging leadership, enable a small team of HR professionals to provide expertise, advice and local HR business partnering support, ensure HR Operations works effectively, and work seamlessly with other HR functions to support overall joined-up HR delivery.  Be an active member of the overall Nordics leadership team and effectively support local business management teams to help drive business delivery and results in the geography.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, manage and develop a small team of local Nordics HR professionals to provide high quality HR support and consultancy to all Nordics based business lines, through a direct line or matrix reporting structure.
  • Partner with (non-local) HR specialist functions/Centres of Excellence to ensure local delivery against strategic business imperatives and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop, manage and oversee the Nordics HR budget and manage expenses within budget allocations.
  • Sponsor and lead the implementation of local and global projects/initiatives within HR and across the business.
  • Provide HR Partnering, management, coaching and counselling to business leaders and managers to effectively meet business line/regional goals.
  • Partner with Business Unit Regional and Global HR Business Partners as required in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance and grow the local Nordics business (including organizational design and development, management and talent development, and employee engagement initiatives) in alignment with and in support of the business goals and objectives.
  • Support, as required activities and initiatives associated with change management involving reorganizations, mergers/acquisitions and transfers to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Provide required analytics and people reporting data to key managers to support business requirements.
  • Provide advice, guidance and direct support on all aspects related to people management, including where required merger and acquisition activities

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent and 10 years’ experience as a generalist or combination of generalist and specialist including 4 years direct line management operating with senior/executive management teams; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
