Finance Manager - the role:

Provides financial analysis, advice and insight to a mid-sized to large market within a large region or a large region(al) function(s). Controls and coordinates information flow for strategic planning, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis to meet both corporate and operational requirements. 

What you will be doing:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis for Supplier Services
    • Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting
      • Over 200 suppliers with multiple contracts for several types of data feeds
    • Monthly Close including WIP, Accruals, Balance Sheet reconciliations
    • Barter reporting, fair value analysis
    • Respond to quarterly audit inquiries
    • Preparation of Appropriations Requests for supplier contracts
    • Administration of supplier contracts, understanding of renewals, contract minimums and annual true ups
    • Offshore Liaison
  • Various ad-hoc projects and requests
  • Coordinate contract changes with Panel Payments Analyst
  • Serve as back up support to Panel Payments Analyst role

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with/ability to learn multiple financial systems (Hyperion, SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction at times
  • Understanding of difference between financial data and information, with grasp of how to present information in a summarized fashion
  • Ability to develop complex financial models and analysis to answer business questions and support business decisions
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business situations
  • Ability to build business relationships with finance and non-finance functions
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles and concepts, specifically revenue recognition and other GAAP-based methodologies
  • Strong grasp of monthly closing process, budgeting & forecasting requirements of a publicly traded company
