Data Governance and Stewardship Services Engagement Manager
 

Role Summary:

Serves as the client-facing lead for the Data Governance and Stewardship Services practice. Manages multiple engagements for multiple clients, including Data Stewardship Services, Governance Program design and execution, Data Quality Assessments and Program leadership  and/or Enterprise Information Management Advisory Services.    Engagement Managers will supervise and provide day-to-day direction to teams on a project.  Interacts with the client on a regular basis to share progress, data quality reports, plans and budgetary status.  Provides proactive recommendations on client business processes and architecture.  As an expert, the Engagement Manager ensures the client obtains maximum value from Data Governance and Stewardship Services to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship.


Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, the Data Governance and Stewardship Services Engagement Manager manages various data strategy (governance, process), quality and operational (stewardship) projects for clients. Ensures ongoing client satisfaction through fulfillment of contracted service levels, offering of proactive advice related to technology and business processes, and timely response to requests for additional services.
  • Provides advisory services as needed for new initiatives    
  • Builds, establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients and serves as their day-to-day contact.  Establishes client trust and utilizes engagements to develop new opportunities.
  • Ensures, through review and verification, that the product deliverable meets the customer's specifications, including timeliness and quality. 
  • Lead client meetings on a regular basis
  • Develop and manage project plans and budgets
  • Ensure clear communication throughout projects and amongst team
  • People manages, coaches and directs team members
  • Works proactively with the sales team to identify and develop business leads and engagements
  • Provides thought leadership and develops new capabilities for the Data Governance and Stewardship Services practice

Role Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years of related work experience, including management background
  • Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical commercial sales operations and related capabilities (MDM, CRM, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success with defining and delivering data governance programs for pharmaceutical commercial organizations
  • Knowledge of IQVIA One Key/HCRS data, or related commercial products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Visio
  • Demonstrated project leadership and program management skills
  • Strong capability in managing projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with managing and coaching staff, and leading teams
  • Consulting or client engagement experience  
  • Ability to proactively identify client need and translate into a solution
  • Must be able to work at a client site 3-5 days per week depending on the engagement type and location, with overnight travel
