We are seeking seniors with life science degrees and the right mix of analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
 
PURPOSE
 
Provide administration support to the clinical team under close supervision of the line manager. Entry level duties structured to provide an opportunity for professional work exposure. The experience will provide knowledge of methods, procedures and standards which contributes to professional development and imparts bona fide education experience. This job is for a fixed duration not to exceed 12 months, with no guarantee to subsequent employment with the Company.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the monitoring team
  • Assist clinical team in the preparation, handling, distribution, filing and archiving of clinical documentation and reports.
  • Assist with periodic review of study files for completeness
  • Prepare, handle & distribute trial supplies and maintenance of tracking information
  • Track and manage Case Report Forms, queries and clinical data flow
  • Assist with completion of relevant Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) fields, databases, tracking tools, timelines and project plans with project specific information
  • May perform IP release activities on small, straightforward projects or support review for larger projects
  • Identify and record process or quality problems and bring them to the attention of a senior team member
  • May coordinate, schedule and submit safety reports to regulatory authorities, marketing authorization holders, investigators, customers and operations team in accordance with deadlines
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of applicable protocol requirements as provided in company training
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and deadlines

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Nursing, Clinical Research or Pharmacy
  • Prefer junior or senior (i.e. in the last 1 or 2 years of the program) but the department will consider other class levels, as appropriate.  
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
