Strategically direct and lead the planning, oversight and implementation of an integrated HR Operations function supporting all UK and Ireland business lines. Through strong and engaging leadership, enable a team of HR professionals to provide expertise, advice and local HR business partnering support, ensure HR Operations works effectively with other HR functions to support overall joined-up HR delivery.  Be an active member of the overall UK HR leadership team and effectively support local business management teams to help drive business delivery and results in the geography.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of HR professionals who, in partnership with the UK and Ireland Employee Relations team, provide high quality HR support and consultancy to UK and Ireland based business lines, through a direct line or matrix reporting structure.
  • Partner with HR specialist functions/Centers of Excellence to ensure delivery against strategic business imperatives and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop, manage and oversee the UK and Ireland HR Operations budget and manage expenses within budget allocations.
  • Sponsor and lead the implementation of local and global projects/initiatives within HR and across the business.
  • Provide HR Partnering, management, coaching and counselling to business leaders and managers to effectively meet business line/regional goals.
  • Partner with Business Unit Regional and Global HR Business Partners as required in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance and grow the business (including organizational design and development, management and talent development, and employee engagement initiatives) in alignment with and in support of the business goals and objectives.
  • Support, as required activities and initiatives associated with change management involving reorganizations, mergers/acquisitions and transfers to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Provide required analytics and people reporting data to key managers to support business requirements.
  • Provide advice, guidance and direct support on all aspects related to people management.

    Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent and extensive experience as a generalist or combination of generalist and specialist including established direct line management operating with senior/executive management teams; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
