Director, Enterprise Partnerships

In this newly created role, you will be working on significant enterprise level deals, with the top 20 Global Pharmaceutical Companies, helping manage complex sales deals, with values in excess of $10M USD and a sales lifespan between 6-24 months.

You will work in partnership with the DrugDev Enterprise COE and the DrugDev account lead, while collaborating with executives and product owners across IQVIA.  You will provide early stage product demonstrations up to C Level, selling our technology solution, DrugDev Spark™ and nurture those clients post sale to ensure the total value of the agreement is recognized.

Principal accountabilities

  • Partner with Sales, Enterprise COE, Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, and Business Unit Leaders to drive new business development activities across US, primarily for large accounts and enterprise sales.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise COE to determine stage of all potential enterprise engagements for top accounts, nurture such accounts, and outline which accounts have matured to a stage in which the Enterprise Partnerships Director shall be heavily engaged.
  • Drive DrugDev solution adoption within existing enterprise clients and ensure the full value of an agreement is realized.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Enterprise COE to progress opportunities from early stage identification through close. While account rep shall continue to manage his/her accounts as the primary lead, the Enterprise Partnerships will serve to lead all aspects of the enterprise engagement.
  • Develop proficiency in all DrugDev solutions and be skilled at presenting each solution alone or in collaboration with subject matter experts necessary to progress enterprise deals. 
  • Interact/coordinate with relevant DrugDev operational teams to engage (as needed), to represent them when they are not available to attend client interactions.
  • Collaborate with other IQVIA account teams or execs as needed to progress DrugDev enterprise sales in collaboration with or independent of such teams, whichever is most effective for the given opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • 7-10 years of proven sales and management experience in selling and/or managing complex enterprise opportunities.
  • Experience selling professional services, and eClinical platforms.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture client relationships.
  • Demonstrated capacity to grow customer base and revenue within a defined client base.
  • Knowledge of the Clinical Trials industry and the Life Sciences vertical industry.

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to call on and regularly interact with mid-level through C-level executives and create urgency.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to work both independently and in group environments.
  • Comfortable working in a small to mid-sized company environment.
  • Contacts within the Life Sciences industry is highly desired.
