Job Description


  • To lead a team of data integrity analysts, both onshore in London and in our offshore hubs
  • To explore and analyse large datasets, drawing insight and value to complex business issues
  • To design, develop, test and implement new tools that lead to improved business performance
  • To constantly be looking for ways to improve data quality that lead to improved customer satisfaction
  • To run exploratory and hypothesis driven analysis in an attempt to answer specific business questions or unlock additional value from our current datasets
  • To think creatively to generate new solutions and make improvements to current processes that deliver value to our customers
  • To obtain and utilise expertise relating to relevant IQVIA data, software and systems in the testing of new offerings and developments using data mining techniques
  • To be the source of knowledge for what data is held where, how data is structured and how data is moved between systems
  • To be a leader in the journey as IQVIA UK moves to big data technologies


  • Develop a specialisation into all relevant IQVIA UK and Ireland data sources
  • Demonstrated ability to write and optimise database queries in SQL to cleanse extremely large data sets into manageable and meaningful outputs
  • Extract relevant information from a wide variety of data sources, translating complex data using core tools and produce solutions and presentations that deliver information in the most appropriate and impactful way
  • Support the business in development and implementation of new systems and offerings
  • Performs ongoing analysis and evaluation of existing processes with the objective of driving continuous data quality improvements
  • Understand difficult business problems and prototype new solutions
  • Support the development and documentation of new and existing processes and policies to support data quality and integrity.
  • Serves as an escalation point for resolving exceptions, issues and complex client queries
  • Support client facing teams through the provision of specialist data knowledge including attending client meetings where relevant
  • Proactively complete all people management activities including performance management and development


  • Graduate preferably with a mathematical, scientific, engineering or computer science based degree
  • Highly numerate with strong statistical skills with an unconditional love for data, numbers and analytics
  • Customer-oriented personality with positive drive and a pragmatic, structured approach 
  • Fluent in SQL
  • Experience in producing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access data models/tools for analysis, data quality assurance and reporting
  • Experience in at least one Data Visualisation Tool (MicroStrategy preferred)
  • Preferred (but not essential) experience any Big Data technologies such as languages like Python or R, Hadoop, Machine Learning and Data Lakes
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge desired but not essential
