We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our team here in our St Leonards office working for a diverse business that offers Data, Technology and Consulting services to the health care industry.

As a Commercial Analyst you will work across finance and the sales teams to manage the revenue performance for Australia and New Zealand to ensure revenue is accounted for in line with corporate policies, including GAAP and SOX audit.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the revenue accounting for the ANZ business.
  • Working closely with our overseas financial analysts to execute all inter-company transactions
  • Conducting invoice reconciliations and addressing customer related queries on time to assist with DSO management
  • Conduct training on finance policies and business processes to new and existing employees
  • Identify and resolve outstanding balances on monthly basis.
  • Maintaining a high accuracy of financial information to improve financial planning
  • Preparing and maintaining all supporting documents to assist with month end reporting
  • Preparing weekly revenue/billing reports on business segments to understand current performance against the plan and highlight any risk/and or opportunity
  • Assisting with internal and external audit requests, and maintaining all financial records
  • Assisting with month-end/year-end close and conducting financial reviews of the business performance
  • Maintaining our customer relationship management tools (SFDC) such as Dashboard reporting, data maintenance, Account allocations, product groups and hierarchy
  • Deliver efficient tracking tools on various business KPI’s
  • Participate in projects and business initiatives as they arise.

Key requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, commerce or economics
  • 3-5 years’ experience in financial or commercial analytical roles
  • Previous experience with SAP/SFDC /GAAP/ SOX audits a must
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen to understand the dynamics of a complex industry
  • Strong financial modelling capability and the ability to rapidly disseminate large amounts of financial information effectively
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and research skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, identify issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research techniques to develop appropriate strategies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Holds self-accountable for delivery and regularly checks that own performance is on track at appropriate milestones, targets and standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, builds relationships with ease
  • Highly motivated, energetic, flexible, commercially focused with can-do attitude
