Role Purpose
Promotes, recommends and sells solutions, products and services to other individuals and organizations. This includes developing, managing, and implementing sales strategies, identifying potential customers, and cultivating existing customer relationships to close deals. 

Role Description

  • Develops, grows, and maintains the relationship between the organization and clients, with a focus on client retention, sales and revenue growth. Works closely with sales specialists to coordinate the best solution for the client.
  • Gets client referrals and increasing amount or type of coverage for existing accounts; liaises between internal teams, vendors and clients on an ongoing basis to ensure service delivery; and serves as a primary contact on an ongoing basis by addressing ad hoc client requests and managing client satisfaction.
  • Initiates and answers inbound and/or outbound sales calls or electronic inquiries directly from/to prospective and/or existing customers.
  • May also be involved in order fulfillment, post-sales or administrative related activities.
  • May have an assigned product line that may overlap other sales teams' territories.
  • May have an individual or team sales quota.
  • Has a solid understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts; may help develop colleagues' understanding; may be recognized as an expert in one area.
  • Has high level of authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms.
  • Plans own territory or account approach and manages own resources.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Typically requires 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area, and broad knowledge of a other related job areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
