PURPOSE

IQVIA is seeking a motivated intern with experience working in an IT environment who is ready to apply best practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment.  The Intern position will assist with analyzing current business workflow processes, make recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency, oversee implementation of the recommendations, and assess whether improvements were achieved. This analysis consists of elaborating and tracing business objectives to business requirements, stakeholder requirements, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements. The Intern will also ensure changes implemented have clear traceability and meet validation criteria in our regulated industry.

We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit business goals, objectives, and requirements
• Perform research and analysis in support of business goals
• Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
• Document business processes and make recommendations for improvement which include estimated costs and benefits
• Deliver in accordance with IQVIA standards, SOPs and procedures to ensure IQVIA's regulatory compliance
• May help launch new solutions
• May perform additional work upon request

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Visio
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well in teams
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to acquire and apply clinical research business knowledge.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Applicants should be Business Administration, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Immunology and other Biological Sciences majors, Pre-med, Science Ph.D. candidates
• Candidates with prior internship experience preferred
