JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE

Develop capabilities and processes through continual evaluation of existing, future needs and options in accordance with corporate initiatives. Responsible for providing input into the generation of the study strategies and collaborating with other involved Quintiles groups. May be responsible for some or all of the following activities at any one time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Manage the delivery of accurate and robust study strategies (including countries, sites and patients) in support of opportunities (including but not limited to Requests for Proposals, awards and re-strategies)

 Ensure Quintiles Clinical Planning & Analytics services is providing a competitive edge in winning new business

 Support study strategies at customer bid defense meetings and to internal customers

 Obtain required information regarding future research plans, regional priorities, and capacity plans

 Produce prime / partner / network site utilization and site performance metrics through efficient feasibility and site identification

 Maintain regular communication with staff in assigned therapeutic areas on non-project issues such as business strategy, mutual pipelines / planning performance trends across all studies (using performance scorecards) and compliance with contracts

 Map country / site / patients capacity in appropriate geographic areas and contribute to the country / site / patient development strategy to support Quintiles pipeline

 Reconcile and interpret Clinical Planning & Analytics services data, providing solid recommendations and scenario planning as required. May provide enrollment rate / site tiering / feasibility text for proposals and feasibility reports

 Manage the generation, analysis and interpretation of study related information to produce and support recommendation of recruitment rates, country allocations and site tiering. May produce summary reports and present internally or externally

 Manage the delivery of study strategy (prioritized country / site lists and enrollment rates) to the operational team.

 Contribute to the process improvement through working with Quintiles processes to deliver quality and consistency.

 Contribute with management of Business Conflicts of Interest (BCOIs)

 Collaborate with key stakeholders and Quintiles project teams to resolve issues and provide recommendations for solutions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 Strong interpersonal skills

 In depth knowledge of the drug development processes across all functional areas

 Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly and accurately understand, access, and analyze data from divergent sources to provide an assimilation of data leading to conclusions and recommendations of country ranking / site tiering / patient enrollment forecasts

 Knowledge and ability to apply GCP / ICH and applicable regulatory guidelines

 Knowledge of clinical research financial parameters and project financial tracking and accounting methods

 Effective presentation skills

 Computer skills including proficiency in aspects of data analysis and presentation software, Microsoft Word, Excel and databases

 Good written and verbal communication skills including good command of English

 Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

 Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities

 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field with 7 yrs. relevant experience including demonstrable experience in an international role; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
