The Analytics Center of Excellence

Our Analytics Center of Excellence (Analytics COE) harnesses our global healthcare insights, working closely with our clinical and therapeutic experts to power evidence-driven design, speed site activation and recruit the right patients, faster. This is a new unit within our business, integrated within Clinical Operations. We’re using big data and advanced analytics to derive insights that transform clinical development and bring new medicines to patients faster through successful trial delivery.

Consultant, Global Solutions – the role

You will be working closely with the Global Solutions Managers (GSM) who consult internal clients and advise on how best to execute specific trials. GSMs work with the sales and study teams to understand key challenges within a study and identify the analytics to support client.

The focal aim of your role is similar to that of a GSM, delivering unique insights to internal clients to optimise clinical trial execution. Throughout the internship you will be exposed to a high volume of different projects, each one ranging from 1-4 weeks. You will work with country specific datasets, utilising patient history data to identify potential sites for clinical trials.  You will gain insight into the commercial side of healthcare and have the opportunity to participate in cross-functional and geographic teams to help with the delivery of complex analytics

Throughout the year you will learn consulting techniques with the aim of completing a client facing project alone or substantially contributing to a group project.

The role requires a range of different skills in a flexible framework. This will allow you to play to your strengths when building a deliverable.

Your typical activities might include:

  • Supporting Global Solutions Managers in the delivery of quantitative and qualitative insights to Clinical trial project teams
  • Responding to client asks by drawing upon appropriate data and creating innovative ways to visualise information
  • Liaising with country-level analytics team members to deliver insights that enhance trial strategy, design and execution.
  • Understanding the relative benefits and limitations in data from different countries and leveraging these to optimise outcomes
  • Using anonymised patient data to build a clear disease landscape for different countries
  • Working with clinical operations teams to define requirements to support trial operational strategy.
  • Assist with the generation of real-time creative solutions to address critical client challenges.

Qualification:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Should be working towards a Bachelor's/Master’s degree with exposure in healthcare analytics, consulting and ideally, project management.
  • A demonstrable interest in the healthcare industry.
  • Multi-country/cultural experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven relationship-building skills, and an active listener.
  • The candidate needs to have strong logical thinking skills and an attention to details
  • A strong interest in analytics and displays technical skills (have experience in using excel is a minimum)
  • Optional - Relevant analytics experience, such as data driven profiling, segmentation, and targeting experience and real-world data analytics.
