Purpose:

Perform role of DM customer lead – responsible for managing and delivering program of studies for a customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as customer lead and manage DM relationship for large customer account.
  • Act as the main overall point of contact for internal and external customers for customer account.
  • Provide leadership and senior support to DTLs on multiple large global studies/program of global studies.
  • Independent management of program/project timelines, quality, resources, SOW (scope of work)/budgets.
  • Lead DM customer negotiations on complex timeline, budgetary and other issues.
  • Manage comprehensive quality control procedures.
  • Provide data management expertise and data coordination process improvement to CDM management.
  • Mentor other team members in training and developing data management expertise.
  • Independently bring project solutions to the CDM team and the CDM Department.
  • Manage a focus team or a best practice team.
  • Manage the development and implementation of new technology/tool.
  • Provide review and expert opinion in developing, revising, and maintaining core operating procedures and working instructions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of the data management process / systems 
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical drug development process          
  • Advanced ability to prioritize and triage
  • Extremely organized
  • Excellent communication, contracting knowledge and diplomacy
  • Sound finance background
  • Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership skills                
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively, collaboratively, and effectively at all levels across functions as well as with external customers 
  • Able to consistently present information in a clear, compelling, and understandable format, tailoring presentations to the context and audience

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s in biological or mathematical sciences, nursing qualification or a similar field
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in clinical trials within a similar function, including proven competence in managing delivery of multiple global projects / programs independently through full data management study life-cycle
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
