THE ROLE

  • Analyze protocols, project briefs, and study materials to create 100% accurate and appropriate content suitable for patient and/or healthcare professional audiences (including ICFs and eConsent, print and digital items for patient recruitment toolkits and engagement, eLearning, IM content, meetings reports, layperson summaries of results)
  • Incorporate internal/client/author comments using a scientifically accurate and balanced approach, and with senior support resolve any conflicts in a professional and compliant manner

  • Monitor and manage own projects; anticipating workload issues and working with senior team members to deliver to required budget and time specifications
  • Diligently follow all company standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as adhere to industry regulations and departmental guidance (health literacy, house style, word count recommendations, process guidance)

EXPECTATIONS:

  • The successful candidate will develop patient and site materials related to recruitment and retention, including informed consent forms (ICFs).
  • They will demonstrate an understanding of relevant scientific and clinical information for the study and have the ability to rapidly get up to speed in therapy areas where do not have prior experience.
  • They will also have the ability to translate complex scientific/medical information into a language understandable to laypersons.
  • They will act as the main medical writer on sponsor programmes, producing high quality outputs that are delivered within timelines.
