  • Plan, coordinate, and provide leadership for complex inventory control projects.
  • Manages inventory of materials, parts, and finished product to maintain required supply in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
  • Develop appropriate processes, controls and performance measures to ensure that performance meets or exceeds objectives. Ensure Inventory Control team is adequately resourced, equipped and focused to accomplish their mission.
  • Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Maintain and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control and training.
  • Keep abreast of current data, trends, regulations, developments, and advances in area of expertise.
  • Work with global counterparts to ensure compliance and promote and facilitate global inventory control standardization.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve inventory control operations within the company.
  • Develop, revise and maintain current practices, polices and procedures to support the department and its internal and external clients.
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees;


  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehousing and inventory control practices and procedures, and related safety and security regulations
  • General working knowledge of lab procedures
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively delegate work
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects, and direct team members
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients


  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent and 7 years of materials, warehousing, or inventory control experience including supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience


  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Occasional travel
