The Senior Software Engineer role is an exciting work from home opportunity preferably in the Eastern or Central time zone working with a team of highly skilled and creative engineers and analysts expanding the architecture, features and delivery efficiency of the IQVIA Registry Platform.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Work under the direction of development lead to design, develop, and unit test application solutions
  • Participate in discussions (involving onsite/offshore teams) of requirement analysis/clarifications, architecture, design and development
  • Effectively decompose requirements into epics, stories, and tasks; accurate estimate, identify dependencies, risks and plan/phase deliverables
  • Participate in reviews and implementation of SDLC methodologies to ensure high quality performance software within the schedules
  • Working closely with other roles and teams, such as QA, business analysts, deployment/IT and onsite/client professionals for knowledge transfer or requirement clarifications etc.
  • Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project
  • Deliver quality software on time


COMPETENCY:

  • Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, XML/JSON, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, ReactJS/Redux, and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Flexible enough to adjust to the change in work / technology / Team / etc
  • Complete ownership of deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing abilities
  • Team-oriented thinking with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and drive cross-functional and interdepartmental teams
