Database Support Analyst

This is a staff position within the Data Management Group providing support for pharmaceutical data processing. This position involves monitoring daily and weekly processing, responding to data analysts questions / issues, providing error resolution, being a liaison between Data Management and IT, and maintaining custom data supplier specific logic. This position is also responsible for accuracy and currency of documentation. This role will report into our Collegeville, PA Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor data processing workflow
  • Responds to inquiries regarding data status and issues.
  • Provide initial support for data investigations.
  • Collaborate with support and implementation teams on issues relating to pharmaceutical data
  • Work with internal and external partners to resolve technical issues associated with processing and file layouts.
  • Support requests for customizations of data processing and data mapping
  • Maintains documentation associated with all facets of the position

Qualifications / Education / Experience

  • BS in Computer Science, MIS or related preferred
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical data.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in writing and executing SQL queries, preferably in an Oracle environment
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and schedule activities associated with the processing of pharmaceutical data
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage and implement quick-turnaround of tactical requests.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a face paced work environment
  • The desire to work with a diverse team of database administrators, software developers, and data analysts.
  • Experience with PL/SQL is a plus.
