Sr. Consultant - HEOR

The Senior Consultant will have a key role within the HEOR practice. They are expected to take on different levels of responsibility and types of work (across the COEs) depending on their skills, the size and complexity of projects and the other resources available in the team so a flexible, enthusiastic and professional approach is essential. A strong knowledge of HEOR methods/approaches plus a working knowledge of consulting methodologies and general business practices is required. Also understanding of the health care sector and the pharmaceutical market, gained through the delivery of consulting engagements (if possible).

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of high-quality proposals for new projects.
  • Contribute to the development of project deliverables, including literature reviews, protocols, study reports, abstracts, manuscripts and slide decks, as appropriate.
  • Support senior staff on specific research initiatives as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices in retrospective studies and observational research and other internal initiatives to share information and build capacity.
  • Contribute substantially to the development of the methodology section of statistical analysis plans; with guidance, write methodology and results sections of final reports
  • Participate in methodology and/or results discussions and presentations for the client
  • Assist with overall project management and client management.
  • Lead the delivery of defined work-streams within specific projects.
  • Provide coaching and direction to more junior team members assigned to engagement(s), as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of retrospective- observational methods and concepts, ideally with a masters or doctorate degree in health services research or relevant related discipline.
  • Work experience in related area and ideally 4-5 years’ experience in applied health research or consulting environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize competing tasks
