Perform all duties of the Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation and serve as an in-lab resource for other laboratory personnel. Train new Sample Preparation Scientists and ensures consistency in analytical technique and use of equipment. Maintain the highest level of performance in technical procedures such as method validation experiments, sample preparation, and preparing solutions and reagents. Demonstrate excellence in documentation according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements and proficiency in relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assists in maintaining lab equipment, supports lab safety, and compliance with GLP requirements.
•Train new personnel to provide consistent and proper laboratory technique.
•Participate in method development, method validation, and sample analysis.
•Perform ELISA, MSD, and Luminex based assays, and other immunoassay techniques.
•Perform analysis of immunoassays using Softmax pro software.
•Perform data analysis, upload run data/results to Watson LIMS system as needed.
•Serve as in-lab resource in proper analytical technique and use of laboratory equipment. Assumes oversight of general laboratory activities.
•Work with automated extraction instrumentation.
•Interfaces with Laboratory Operations to request and return study samples and client compounds.
•Responsible for providing clear communication with the Project Management and Method Development teams.
•Prepare stock and working solutions/standards and QC samples. Aliquots control matrices. 
•Document all project work according to Q2 Solutions and GLP processes and procedures.
•Assist with trouble-shooting laboratory instrumentation and other maintenance as required.
•Assists in ordering laboratory supplies.
•Maintains housekeeping standards for work area.
•Comply with all applicable regulatory standards, including Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices.
•Prepare and review run binders, notebooks and other project-related documentation. Prepare study worksheets and methods as project leader or team member as needed.
•Initiate changes in Standard Operating Procedure for modifications of existing processes or preparation of new procedures.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt efficiently to program changes.
•Maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and systems as required.
•Monitor laboratory systems as needed.
•Routine safety inspections as needed.
•Maintain personal training file and assists in training of other technical staff.

Job Requirements

•Experienced in conducting large molecule PK and ADA assays in a GLP laboratory
•CRO and Pharmaceutical company experience preferred
•Understanding of broad array of immunoassay techniques and instrumentation such as MSD, Luminex, and ELISA.
•Experience in development/validation of methodology, sample handling and preparation, and data analysis.
•Technical knowledge in key areas of cell-culture and cell-based immunoassays as needed.
•Ability to perform accurate and precise processing of client samples.
•Ability to follow scientific directions and work in a team.
•Ability to follow verbally communicated or draft procedures.
•Highly experienced in all routine laboratory procedures.
•Understanding of development/validation of immunoassay methodology.
•Ability to interact with clients, and work to objectives/timelines.
•Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
•Ability to follow written and oral scientific directions.
•Ability to adhere to Q2 Solutions and client Standard Operating Procedures.
•Ability to complete documentation per Q2 Solutions and GLP requirements, as applicable.
•Ability to multitask and maintain an organized work area.
•Ability to effectively and communicate processes and technique to sample preparation staff.
Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline with 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a GLP laboratory environment.
• Extensive use of micropipettes requiring repetitive motion of hand and wrist.
• Standing or sitting for extended periods of time as work permits
• May be required to lift 20lb loads on an infrequent basis.
• Ability to wear PPE, as required.
• Will work with general laboratory reagents and research compounds.
