Our Client is a global BioPharma company firmly focused on its mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines to patients with serious diseases.

Healthcare landscape in the UK is changing - devolution of power, budgets and responsibility for health and social care has led to this changing dynamic. They have created this role to address the changing needs of their customers, enabling them to holistically interact with regional policy makers and payers, with a focus on NHS England Regions and the Devolved Nations.

Primary Role:
To work as the interface between our client and UK regional decision makers (plus where relevant other regional stakeholders) to create unrestricted access to prioritised licenced product portfolio for appropriate patients through targeted market access & health policy initiatives.
To promote our client as a valued partner of the NHS (including other agencies and organizations aligned to the NHS) and to develop and influence regional health policy initiatives.
To provide strategic and tactical NHS/Healthcare insight to our client's functions ensuring that barriers/challenges to markets and business opportunities for licenced products are identified and appropriately managed through robust implementation plans.

Experience and Skills Required
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry is required, including knowledge of ABPI
• Experience in market access, patient organisations and external affairs desirable

• Good understanding of the regional NHS and broader health landscape, alongside an ability to make this knowledge relevant to the wider business

• Strong enthusiasm with a drive to succeed and the ability to work independently
• Close working relationships with key stakeholders e.g. industry groups, policy stakeholders, health and social care leads
• Ideally existing relationships with senior members of the regional healthcare economy and interdependencies
• Understanding of project management methods with the ability to drive project sponsorship and gain stakeholder support
• Experience performing negotiation, contract management and account management
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Eligibility to work full time in the UK
