IQVIA has an exciting opportunity for a Northern Prime Site Director.

The role is focused on developing long lasting partnerships at IQVIA Prime Sites to maximise the recruitment of patients into trials whilst adhering to high quality standards and improving the experience of patients, site staff and customers. You will be responsible for developing , driving and owning the Prime Site Strategic Plan, in liaison with key stakeholders at site and at IQVIA to promote a growth and differentiation strategy, to collaborate on innovation in clinical research. You will be an advocate for Prime Sites internally and externally.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a strong team player with the ability to co-ordinate and collaborate across organisations and within complex projects.  They will have a good understanding of the Prime site strategy, an understanding of study financial management and in-depth knowledge of drug development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and drive the IQVIA Prime Site strategy, to maximise site productivity, concentrating on recruiting more patients from fewer sites whilst maintaining high quality standards
  • Enhance the experience of patients, site staff and customers working with IQVIA through Prime Sites.
  • Develop and implement the Prime Site strategic plan promoting growth and differentiation, working with the site to drive the strategic imperatives of the plan. This will include site non-project specific strategies e.g. study start up processes, patient recruitment methodologies, infrastructure and capabilities enhancement, strengthening and alignment of recruitment pipelines and leveraging innovation to advance clinical research.
  • Maintain and share metrics as well as pipeline information with the prime sites on a routine basis.
  • Maximise opportunities for Prime Sites to participate in studies that match site capabilities, by collaborating with therapeutic area/project strategy teams
  • Be the point of contact for Governance teams, senior stakeholders and site staff. Participate and organise Joint Executive Steering Committee (JESC) and Joint Operational Steering Committee (JOSC) meetings
  • Share information and provide efficient communication with delivery teams, resolve site issues that have been escalated by the CRA or project teams.
  • Drive identification and exploration of differentiating factors within the prime sites that can be developed to create new/innovative business opportunities
  • Proactively promote Prime Site internally and externally, maintaining its visibility and image, position in the market, and liaise with KOLs and site therapeutic teams to win work and support Prime Site expansion.
  • Mentor and Support CRAs working within the Prime Site, share best practices and lessons learned regarding site relationship management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • In depth knowledge of Clinical Development processes across all functional areas
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to apply GCP/ICH/applicable guidelines, solid understanding of new methodologies in research e.g. remote monitoring, telemedicine
  • Excellent ability to lead, collaborate and build effective relationships (including cross-functionally) with co-workers, managers, sites and customers
  • Excellent/Proven management and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to present to senior management.
  • Excellent/Proven project management and change management skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a health care or other scientific discipline and a wealth of experience in clinical trials, clinical operations or other related work experience; including leadership experience, experience utilizing general management and leadership principles desirable .
