Position Summary

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR)- Pulmonary engages healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote applicable client products, maximize selling potential, and meet all assigned goals and objectives. The PSR develops and maintains relationships with HCPs; he/she utilizes approved tools and resources for product promotion with HCPs. The PSR also maintains a high level of product, territory, and customer activity knowledge. 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required
  • 1 + years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience required; medical device sales experience highly desired
  • Pulmonary/Respiratory experience preferred  
  • Preferred experience within geography and proven customer relationships
  • Demonstrated effective organizational and communication skills
  • Leader among peers, self-motivated, and takes initiative
  • Results-oriented with a track record of success
  • Excellent selling, closing, persuasion and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong rapport building skills and active listening skills
  • Ability to learn, understand and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge
  • Good organizational and planning skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with computer technology and devices (e.g. iPad, apps).
  • Ability to drive to assigned targets within the territory using own automobile
  • Ability to travel to work related meetings and functions (including overnight and/or weekend)
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
