Job Description

Role Purpose:

Works directly with supplier clients to provide value added input and to deliver projects built around client strategic issues. This position will be based in the Dallas/Arlington area and requires wholesaler  industry experience.


Principal Accountabilities:

* Understands the key priorities of the client and effectively communicates business issues internally within IQVIA. 

* Translates client needs into solutions and makes recommendations at appropriate levels regarding the internal approach required.

* Translates the strategy of the client and makes recommendations regarding the strategic direction of IQVIA supplier portfolio of offerings. 

* Develops strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identifying new business opportunities. 

* Actively promotes the full IQVIA portfolio of products and services to anticipate and meet client needs. 

* Develops and executes account plan(s) and monitors progress. 

* Leads proposal development to ensure actionable, on-target, value-added and timely proposals are provided to clients. 

* Provides follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction and value recognition. 

* Provides direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams. 

* Provides high level input and ensures the development of client reports and presentations and delivers findings to client. 

* Active role in negotiating contracts and/or information, offerings and services.


Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in consulting, senior account management or consultative account management in the pharmaceutical, health care or life sciences industry with evidence of career progression. Contacts at senior executive level within large key suppler organizations.  Extensive knowledge of IMS offerings.


Additional Requirements:

* Business acumen, marketplace and industry knowledge, communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship building and consultative selling skills.  Vision and direction. 

* Demonstrable experience in and commitment to the life sciences and/or healthcare industries.

* Track record of management, leadership and people development.

* Willingness and ability to travel to client locations.

* Account development and an ability to influence outcomes.

* Strong collaborations skills across organizations.

* Strong demonstration of the ability to build business partnerships, effectively interact with senior management and lead others. 

* Ability to motivate and inspire others in the achievement of business goals.
